🥬 Caesar Salad Recipe: Bold, Briny, and Built to Impress

Crisp romaine, house-made croutons, and a dressing that doesn’t hold back. Whether you’re plating it next to a ribeye or serving it solo with grilled chicken, this Caesar earns its place.

🍞 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Salad:

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shaved Parmesan
  • 1 cup homemade croutons (see below)
  • Fresh cracked black pepper

For the Dressing:

  • 1 egg yolk (or 1 tbsp mayo for shortcut)
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt to taste

For the Croutons:

  • 2 cups cubed sourdough or baguette
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of sea salt

🔪 Instructions

  1. Croutons: Toss bread cubes with olive oil and salt. Bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes until golden and crisp.
  2. Dressing: Whisk egg yolk, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire, and lemon juice. Slowly stream in olive oil while whisking. Stir in grated Parmesan. Adjust salt.
  3. Assembly: Toss romaine with dressing, half the croutons, and half the shaved Parmesan. Plate and top with remaining croutons, cheese, and cracked pepper.
