🐔 Greek Chicken Gyro
Marinated chicken, warm pita, crisp veggies, and house-made tzatziki. This version keeps it simple and satisfying—grilled chicken with bold seasoning, wrapped up with all the fixings.
Ingredients (Makes 4 wraps)

For the Chicken Marinade:
- 1½ lbs boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
For Assembly:
- 4 Greek-style pita breads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomato
- ½ cup sliced red onion
- ½ cup crumbled feta
- Tzatziki sauce (see below)
Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- ½ cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp chopped dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate chicken for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Grill or pan-sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Rest and slice.
- Make tzatziki: Mix all ingredients and chill.
- Warm pita and layer with lettuce, tomato, onion, chicken, feta, and tzatziki.
- Wrap and serve with fries or a side salad.
Notes
- Swap lettuce for shredded cabbage for crunch.
- Add fries inside the wrap for a true diner-style twist.
- Use house-made pickled onions or hot sauce for extra punch.
